Batumi, Davit Klidashvili St. N5
Brief description of the monument:
This building, constructed at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries, is a single-story structure with a high basement. The entrance to the building is located on the left side of the façade, where a metal canopy is suspended above the door. Three rectangular windows are set in profiled frames. The lower part of the middle walls is horizontally decorated, while above it, a typical element of modernist architecture—three lines descending from a diamond shape, ending with arrow-like tips—can be seen. A profiled belt runs along the bottom level of the façade. Between the belt and the windows, there is a rectangular area with a textured surface. The basement is decorated with a decorative plaster imitation of squares. Five small windows of the basement can be seen within this section. The building is completed with a profiled cornice, beneath which there is a row of toothed motifs. The side façade of the building is plain, and the rear façade, which faces the yard, features a new metal balcony. The residential building stands out with its tastefully designed façade, moderate use of decorative elements, and high construction craftsmanship.
