Building at Davit Klidashvili Street N6, Batumi
Brief Description of the Building:
This single-story building with a high basement was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The façade is elongated, with the central section slightly off-center to the left. The entrance is asymmetrically placed, with a metal canopy above the door. The façade is divided by six rectangular windows, each fitted with a profiled frame. The lower parts of the central columns are horizontally incised, while the upper parts feature a characteristic modernist element: three lines descending from a disc, which end in small spheres.
The lower level of the façade is adorned with a profiled belt, and between the belt and the windows, there are rectangular areas with a textured surface. The plinth section is decorated with decorative plasterwork resembling square patterns, and five small basement windows are visible in this section. The building is completed with a profiled cornice, beneath which a row of small spheres forms a decorative border.
The side façades are simple and plain, while the rear façade, which faces the yard, includes a newly added metal balcony. This building stands out with its tastefully decorated façade, modest use of decorative elements, and high construction craftsmanship.
