Batumi, Parnavaz Mepe Street No. 87
Brief description of the monument:
This small-scale building is a single-story structure of rectangular plan. The façade is unplastered, faced entirely with brickwork, and has a simple, modest appearance. The entrance doorway is located at the right corner, while the rest of the façade features four rectangular windows. The decorative elements are limited to simple architrave headers above the windows, each adorned with an imitation keystone in between. Beneath each window is a recessed rectangular panel.
A high cornice completes the façade, ornamented by a single row of bricks laid in a sawtooth pattern. To the right of the building lies a fenced courtyard area, where an extension has been added later.
With its modest scale, harmonious proportions, restrained decoration, and brick detailing, along with its enclosed courtyard, the structure exemplifies typical residential architecture at the turn of the 19th to 20th century in Batumi.
