საცხოვრებელი სახლი
Batumi, Rustaveli Street No. 14
Brief description of the monument:
This two-story residential building was constructed in the early 20th century. In 2009, its roof was renovated, and a mansard floor was added. The main façade faces Rustaveli Avenue. The first floor features a series of rectangular windows. On the left side, where a currency exchange office is currently located, the windows are grouped together and transformed into a large display window. Further to the left, at the edge of the façade, is the entrance to the building.
On the second floor, the central part of the façade has three large semicircular arched windows. This area is framed by pilasters and topped with a curved parapet. On either side of the arched windows, there are two rectangular windows. At the leftmost edge, above the entrance, there is a metal balcony with a decorative metal canopy above its door.
The side parts of the façade are completed with a lower parapet, decorated with a motif of long dentils. The recently added mansard has two large arched openings, positioned on either side of the central parapet. To the right side of the house is an arched entrance leading to the courtyard.
This building, one of the oldest on Rustaveli Avenue, serves as a fine example of early 20th-century residential architecture in Batumi.
