Batumi, Vaja-Pshavela St. N34 / Kh. Akhvlediani St. N2
Brief description of the monument:
This single-story corner house, located at the intersection of two streets, was likely built at the end of the 19th century. Its main facade faces Vaja-Pshavela Street. The central section, divided by three rectangular openings, is accentuated by corner risalits, whose gabled roofs are inserted into the main roof of the house. The surface of the facade beneath the window sills is plastered, while the rest of the section is finished with wood. The gabled frontons are divided by rectangular wooden beams. Architectural details carved from wood adorn the window frames and the apex of the fronton. Due to later modifications, the walls leading to the house’s yard have undergone significant changes. This wooden residential house is a rare example of architecture, standing out in terms of its design and playing an important role in preserving the historical appearance of the street.
