Batumi, Sayat-Nova Street No. 3
Brief description of the monument:
This house was presumably built in the early 20th century, as indicated by the distinctive Art Nouveau elements decorating its façades. The two-story building features plastered façades adorned with finely sculpted details. The first floor is segmented by rectangular openings set between rusticated pilasters. The second floor is similarly divided by rectangular window openings, above which runs a decorative band featuring wave-like ornamental motifs. A matching ornamental frieze extends beneath the cornice as well.
The right end of the façade is crowned by a rectangular parapet adorned with small turret-like structures topped by decorative spheres. These turrets are embellished with characteristic Art Nouveau elements. The building holds significance as an interesting example of Batumi’s Art Nouveau architectural heritage.
