Building at Dimitri Tavdadebuli Street N6, Batumi
Brief Description of the Building:
This small-scale, one-story building with a rectangular layout was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century. It features a high plinth section, within which the windows of the basement are visible. The left side of the façade contains an entrance to a courtyard, where a rectangular archway is placed above the doorway. The arch is adorned with decorative moldings, and above it, a window opening is located. Narrow pilasters rise next to the arch, supporting a triangular pediment. Decorative representations of birds can be found in the corners of the arch and pediment.
The right side of the façade contains six windows, each framed with wide moldings and topped with a triangular pediment. Beneath the windows, rectangular areas are integrated, flanked by decorative consoles on both sides. The surface of the façade is segmented by decorative moldings with a square motif, and the structure is crowned with a profiled cornice.
The building has been extended with a mansard above, added at a later time. However, the building is currently abandoned and in a significantly damaged state. Despite its current condition, it is an interesting example of early 20th-century architecture in Batumi.
