Batumi, Parnavaz Mepe Street No. 36
Brief description of the monument:
This two-story residential building, constructed of stone and brick, presumably dates to the early 20th century. The façade is clad in exposed stone masonry without plaster. It features rectangular openings, with the first floor’s wall surfaces displaying rusticated stonework. An entrance door, adorned with a decorative metal canopy, is located on the left side of the building, while the right side has an ornamental iron gate leading into the courtyard.
A simple-profiled horizontal frieze separates the two floors. At the center of the second floor, a balcony with ornamental iron railings projects outward. The building façade concludes with a profiled cornice topped by a parapet.
The building is significant for its simplicity, excellent craftsmanship, and as an illustrative example of façade decoration typical for residential houses in early 20th-century Batumi.
