Batumi, Noe Zhordania Street No. 24
Brief description of the monument:
This small, two-story building was presumably constructed in the early 20th century. The structure stands out due to its simplicity and thoughtfully designed façade. On the ground floor, a rectangular courtyard entrance is located at the right side of the building, flanked by rusticated pilasters. On the left, the entrance to the staircase, also flanked by rusticated pilasters, features an ornamental metal canopy. Between these two entrances are large rectangular glazed openings.
The second floor is articulated by arched door and window openings framed with simple-profiled moldings and keystones. Flat, plain pilasters divide the façade surface at this level. Ornate metal balconies are placed at the center and on the right side (above the courtyard entrance), playing an essential role in the aesthetic perception of the façade.
The building is notable for its intimate scale and simplicity, contrasted by the intricately detailed ironwork of the balconies and entrance canopy. Additionally, the decorative plasterwork on the ceiling of the staircase area is particularly significant. This structure draws attention through its chamber-like character and harmonious integration into the street environment.
