Batumi, Noe Zhordania Street No. 12
Brief description of the monument:
This imposing three-story building was presumably constructed in the 1930s. Built from blocks, its façades are plastered and rusticated. Two risalits house the main entryways, above which extend large glazed arched openings spanning the entire building height. On the left edge, there is a rectangular passageway leading to the courtyard. The left section of the building later received an additional fourth floor.
Between and within the risalits, the central part of the building features flat pilasters topped with volute capitals decorating the second and third floors. The central balconies are rectangular, while those on the sides have curved outlines.
The structure is notable for its strict symmetry, clear compositional design, and restrained façade decoration, reflecting characteristics of late Constructivism. It holds a dominant position in the streetscape.
