Batumi, 15 Revaz Komakhidze Street
Brief Description of the Monument:
Built at the end of the 19th century, this modest, single-story house featuring baroque-classicist facade elements is distinguished by its elegant proportions and skilled craftsmanship. The elongated rectangular building is constructed from stone, with its main transverse facade facing Komakhidze Street, plastered and painted. The facade wall features horizontal grooves and is painted pink. The arched windows and door openings are framed with simple-profiled moldings.
Extending along the facade s right side is an arched entrance gate, supported by smooth pilasters with flat, simple-profiled Tuscan capitals. Each arch s center includes keystones adorned with sculpted leaf motifs. Above the entrance door, decorated with wooden architectural elements, there is a metal bracket-supported canopy with intricate openwork detailing.
The building is completed by a profiled cornice, beneath which runs an arabesque ornament composed of sculpted botanical motifs. The courtyard side of the building has undergone significant alterations. This elegant house, bearing classical and baroque features, harmoniously integrates into the (chamber-like ) street development and reflects the scale of the neighborhood effectively.
