Building at Akhmed Melashvili Street N11, Batumi
Brief Description of the Building:
This two-story house, built in the early 20th century, features a brick, unplastered facade and faces the street. The central section of the facade is accentuated by a slightly projecting risalit, with the first floor dedicated to a vaulted archway leading to the yard entrance. Above the archway, a metal balcony extends, and the risalit itself is topped with a curved parapet.
The first floor of the main facade is made up of large display windows, while the second floor is divided by arched windows. The tops of the windows are finished with brick pediments, and rectangular sections are recessed beneath the window sills.
The rear facade facing the yard has completely lost its original architectural form due to later changes.
This house is a characteristic example of early 20th-century Batumi residential architecture. It fits well within the historical development of the street and is an important element of the neighborhood’s architectural heritage.
