Address: Batumi, Luka Asatiani Street N28
This building, constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, is a large-scale brick structure with a П-shaped layout, extending towards the yard. Only one facade faces the street.
The main part of the facade is unplastered and finished with brickwork. The base section is decorated with a rustic-style finish. In the base area, there are semi-basement windows. The central part of the facade is accentuated by a rosalith (a projecting section of the building), which houses a large, rectangular doorway leading to the inner yard. Above this, there is a low room, with arched windows on the facade, one on each side.
The corners of the rosalith on the first floor are plastered and decorated with horizontal grooves, creating the impression of strong pilasters. In the rosalith area, on the second floor, there are two arched windows, which are accompanied by pair of slender pilasters on both sides. The pilasters have stone bases and brick capitals, giving them an elaborate architectural feel.
The rosalith is topped with a cornice, which continues across the entire facade. The facade is finished with a rectangular parapet, with an arched area created from bricks, forming a curved front at the top.
The remaining part of the facade features rectangular windows framed with simple, modest moldings, with stone accentuations above each.
The yard of the building has undergone significant changes due to later renovations. However, there are still fragments of the original brickwork visible in certain areas, which reflect the initial design of the house.
This structure represents a classic example of early 20th-century architecture in Batumi, with eclectic stylistic influences and decorative detailing. Despite some later changes, it remains an important architectural landmark in the city s historical development.
