Batumi, Khariton Akhvlediani St. N2
Brief Description of the Building:
This one-story house, built at the beginning of the 20th century, has an unpainted and plastered main facade facing the street. The facade is divided by rectangular openings, which are decorated with carved lintels. The lintels are connected horizontally at the base level by horizontal bands. The central walls are adorned with decorative plasterwork.
The facade is completed with a stepped cornice, below which runs a carved S-shaped ornamental frieze with five-petaled flowers in the center. The house can be accessed both through the entrance door from the street and from the yard.
This small-scale building, together with neighboring houses, plays an important role in shaping the street’s scale. It is located next to the Khariton Akhvlediani State Museum of Adjara and contributes to the preservation of the surrounding historical urban development.
