Batumi, Irakli Abashidze Street N4
Brief Description of the Building:
This two-story residential building, constructed at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, is located within a dense urban development. At the rear of the house, facing N. Baratashvili Lane, is a partially open rectangular courtyard. The entrance to the courtyard is from the lane, secured with a simple wrought-iron gate.
The architectural composition follows a symmetrical Classical layout:
The floors are divided by a profiled cornice, and another multi-stepped profiled cornice crowns the top of the building.
The building has a U-shaped layout, and the courtyard façade originally featured glazed balconies, which have now been altered with additions and infill structures.
