Ancient town ruins in Kolotauri (Jvarkedi district), Municipality of Keda are under study now. The excavations are financed by Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Ajara. The discovered complex includes monuments dated back to 3 periods: a cave – 8-10 000 years old, a belfry dated back to XI-XIII c. and a town ruins – V-IV c. BC. Also there were found different types of ceramic, metal, iron and bronze objects.
