Adjara Cultural Heritage Protection Agency continues the educational project "Touch history with your hands" for pupils.
The meeting with cognitive activities was held on the territory of the Gonio fortress. We chose "Recreation and entertainment in ancient Rome" as the topic of todays meeting.
After visiting the territory of the fortress, a presentation and various types of entertainment-cognitive activities were held for the students.
The presentation included a discussion of popular and large-scale Roman games and a presentation of their interesting aspects.
Special attention was paid to board games, which enjoyed equal popularity among all ages and classes.
The pupils learned about the ancient Roman board game "TERNI LAPILLI", the playing stones they made themselves and played with the same interest and joy as the Roman soldiers played 2000 years ago at the same place.
At the end of the meeting, we gave books to all participants and a certificate to the group under the guidance of the teacher!
This time, an educational lesson was held for pupils of the 5th grade of the N10 public school in Batumi. Tornike Mamiseishvili, the research worker at Adjara Cultural Heritage Protection Agency, led the lesson.
