The second-year students of the faculty of History of Batumi State University, under the study course - “Field Archaeological Practice”, participated in the archaeological expedition carried out on the territory of Gonio-Apsaros Fortress. Furthermore, they visited the ongoing archaeological expeditions in Petra-Tsikhisdziri and Kobuleti-Pichvnari (Heads of the field practice: Merab Khalvashi, Kakhaber Kamadadze). Under the field practice, the students performed various tasks, such as: archaeological excavations, making daily reports, taking photos of the found materials, photo processing and registration of the materials. The archaeological excavations were carried out with the financial support of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Adjara. The field works will be continued in September.
