Several icons of Adjara Museum were cleaned, repaired, colours were restored and the icons were conserved in the Restoration Laboratory of the Scientific-Research Centre of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Adjara.
The icons have relief surfaces, are made on gypsum base, sizes are the same (108-82 cm); as for the content, they represent the crucifixion of Christ. They are of Catholic nature; having Georgian inscriptions: “The third fall of Jesus while carrying the cross”; “Crucifixion of Jesus on the cross”. The conservation works were performed by Art-Restorer Giorgi Bolkvadze.
