Within the framework of the educational program Touch The History with Your Hands, a presentation was held for 7th grade students of the school - gymnasium Iberia at the Gonio Fortress Scientific Research Center (teacher - Tekla Abashidze) on the topic: architecture- Georgian architectural art , types of architecture, what characteristics can qualify a building for heritage status. Special attention was paid to the overview of the city s notable monuments. (Practical work drawing - the city s landmark structures) The educational activity was led by art historian Sophio Sanikidze.

Roman weapons of war – on aforementioned topic, 7th grade students of the Batumi  Mega School (teacher - Marika Evgenidze) participated in various types of educational activities. The students learned about the composition of the Roman army-legion, military tactics, types of main and auxiliary weapons of the legion. They explored the importance of shields (scutum), swords (gladius) and spears (pilum). The lesson was led by Kakhaber Kamadadze, a scientist and employee of the the Cultural Heritage Protection Agency of Adjara.
