As a result of activities of the Government of Adjara, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Adjara, University, and the Archaeological Group of Warsaw, the first international congress dedicated to the history and archaeology of the Roman Empire will be held in Georgia. On August 22-27 of this year, Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara, Acting Director of Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Adjara Mr. Zaur Akhvlediani, Head of Archaeological-Architectural Complexes, Archeology and Educational Department of the Agency Lasha Aslanishvili and Manager of Batumi Archaeological Museum Emzar Kakhidze were present In the Netherlands, in the city of Nijmegen, where the #LimeCongress2022 was held. Limes Congresses have been held every three years since 1949 in nearly all countries through which Rome’s frontiers ran. In the forum take part Professors and leading specialists from research institutes and universities of different countries of the world, up to 500 delegates from 35 countries.
