    Organized by the Cultural Heritage Protection Agency of Adjara, a scientific session dedicated to the results of the archeological field research conducted in Adjara in 2024 was held at the Shota Mamuladze Scientific Research Center!

     Reports were presented at this scientific session by the heads of the expeditions and the scientists participating in the expedition.

    In 2024, field archaeological work was carried out on monuments of various periods in numerous municipalities of Adjara. The reports presented at the session were also thematically diverse and covered the period from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. In particular, the reports were presented on the Pichvnari, Gonio-Apsaros, Petra-Tsikhisdziri, Machakhela Gorge, the village of About the excavations conducted in the territories of Khutsubani and Zeda Makhuntseti.

     The scientific session was attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture of Adjara, Badri Nakashidze, archaeologists and students of Batumi Shota Rustaveli University.
