With the initiative and financial support of the Adjara Cultural Heritage Protection Agency, the rehabilitation of Tskhemlara cellar is underway. (Budget 67,000 GEL) The historical wine cellar is located in the village of Kvemo Chkhutuneti in the Tskhemlara district of the Khelvachauri municipality and is the property of the family. The mentioned object is a monument of local importance, which dates back to the late Middle Ages and indicates the development of viticulture and winemaking in the Machakhli valley since ancient times. The building was built on a rocky foundation and has reached us in a more or less preserved form. According to the narration, it was originally the foundation of the Oda house, but later, as the damages increased, the wooden Oda was moved to a new stone building to the east of the yard, and the cellar was freed from excessive load. The cellar was quite damaged. Its preservation is of great importance from the point of view of protection of historical heritage.
