Adjara Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency is working on the personal collection of Nikolaz Constantine Sharmandin, which was handed over to the Agency after his death.
Nicholaz Sharmandin (1935-2019) was a mechanical engineer by profession and candidate of Technical sciences.
He has been living in batumi since the 90s of the last century.
Notable from this collection are the open post cards which refer to the connection of different cities with batumi in the first half of the XX century, in particular in the years 1900-1920.
Most of the cards are greeting cards and are interesting for these interested in Batumi in terms of studying their relatives, residential addresses, surnames, city postage stamps and other issues.
After removing the restrictions caused by the pandemic in the future within this topic, the Adjara Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency plans to organize an exhibition and publish the results of the research
