On December 2, at 19:00, the presentation of the digital edition "Fabric Ornament from Adjara" will be held on the Zoom platform. The digital edition combines samples of fabrics preserved in museums and private collections in Adjara, ethnographic reality and scientific works. The main part of the samples collected in the edition is woven, and part - embroidered. Also presented are "wall rugs" decorated with ornamental squares embroidered on cotton fabric and applied. The edition includes both digital, vector files of the ornament, as well as photos of the originals. The aim of the publication is to make the diverse samples of Adjara folk fabrics and their graphically processed digital versions even more accessible to the general public, especially to craftsmen, designers and researchers interested in this topic. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara within the framework of the "Support for Free Projects" competition. The project is co-financed by Keda Municipality. The main partners of the project are LEPL "Museum of Adjara" and A (A) IP Ethnographic Museum "Borjghalo". The project is implemented by the organizations - "Culture for the Future", the Georgian Traditional Handicrafts Association and the Ajara Cultural Heritage Protection Agency.
