The play “Medea Tragedy” retelling the tragedy of a well-known Colchian character, has produced in Kobuleti Museum today. The event was organized by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Ajara.
On the initiative of the Agency, the above mentioned play was first staged in Gonio-Apsaros Archaeological-Architectural Museum-Reserve. The play was also produced at the international theatrical festival of Makhchaani.
Such events promote the growth of museum role and popularization in the society.
“The play is written according to Euripides’s tragedy. It revives the ancient theatre and is maximally closed to its esthetics” – said the producer - Otar Katamadze. The participants of the play were: Marina Burduli, Mishiko Ghomidze, Iago Mortuladze, Irakli Kverghelidze, Giorgi Kurava, Gvantsa Mkheidze, Megi Lominadze, Linda Khalvashi.
