Batumi is hosting the international “Limes Congress 2024” for the first time and it is dedicated to the archeology and history of Roman empire. The international congress is held in the hotel “Marriot”.
Professors and leading specialists of research institutes and universities from different countries take part in the congress. There are up to 350 delegates from 42 countries.
The main topic of the congress is the history of the frontiers of Roman empire, however, the congress covers various topics such as logistics, economic relations, trade, culture, political and social issues and new archeological excavations.
Within the forum, from September 9 to September 14, apart from the sessions, various excursions are planned in order to visit the significant places of the region.
The congress opened today and the last day will be September 14.
