At Gonio-Afsaros museum-preserve, there was held an Archery tournament for the first time. It was organized by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Ajara, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Ajara and the Archery Federation engagement.    

For the Gonio Cup, the contest was held in the age categories of boys as well as girls.  The winners were awarded with certificates and cups.

The tournament will be established as a tradition and except professionals the participation will be available for amateurs as well.  Among them, it will be open for any Gonio Fort visitor.

A similar tournament will promote the development of the mentioned type of sport as well as the popularization of the museum.
