The archaeological works, financed by the Cultural Heritage Protection Agency of Ajara, are in progress in Chvana-Otolta Fortress. The facilities inside and outside the fort studied in 80ies of the previous century will be researched and cleaned as well.
The works aim to specify the chronological frames of the construction and functioning of the fort, wine cellars, Tone (clay oven) and other facilities in the fort, their fixation and preparation for the rehabilitation-conservation. 31 000 GEL is allocated for the archaeological works of Otolta Fortress.
