On the initiative of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Ajara and with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Ajara, within the event dedicated to International Museum Day the educational-cognitive project “I am a guide” was held in Gonio-Apsaros museum-reserve on 18th May 2018. Batumi, Gonio, Akhalsofeli and Sarfi public schools’ pupils participated in the event, played the role of a guide, gave the tours about the history, archaeology and expositions of Gonio Fortress.

The Deputies of the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Ajara Bagrat Manvelidze and Irakli Tavberidze attended the event.

The aims of the project were raising pupils’ awareness of museum life and generating practical skills.
