Today Cultural Heritage Preservation Agency of Ajara organized a cultural-cognitive tour for public schools of Kobuleti Municipality in Petra Fortress. The event was dedicated to the international day for historical monuments and sites. There was held the presentation “My heritage” that covered the essence, qualification, importance and patronage of cultural heritage.

The aims of the activities are raising awareness of cultural heritage and popularization of historical monuments and museums located in Ajara.

On the initiative of UNESCO and ICOMOS this day was established in 1983 and has celebrated since 1984.

The minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Ajara Inga Shamilishvili attended the event.
