The archaeological study of the wine cellar dating back to the Middle Ages in the village Zeda Makhuntseti, Keda Municipality is under study, with the financial support of the Cultural Heritage Protection Agency of Adjara.
As a result of the current works, the type and area of the wine cellar, the method of burying Kvevris, the approximate date of functioning the wine cellar, etc. were specified. The Kvevris found were cleaned and prepared. The carpological and palynological materials and samples were taken from the Kvevris for further studies, which will give us interesting results.
